The cost of an architectural model depends on a number of factors including the type, size and complexity of the model. Development application (DA) models will cost from a few thousand dollars, presentation models will cost from $5,000.

Marketing models with interactive lighting can cost well over $100,000.

Architectural models can take anywhere from a few weeks (DA models), right up to months to complete (marketing models). Generally speaking, the more time we have to complete the model and the more finalised the design is before we get started on the model will always result in a better model.

Kinkfab have a reputation amongst leading developments and Architects of producing the highest quality City of Sydney DA models. This particuarly important on complex, inner city developments, where timing and quick approvals are crucial.

Models are completed at 1:500 scale and include all external fenestration and detailing. Where a site is located outside of the City Model at Town Hall, a 100m radius context model is also produced as part of the physical model submission.

Kinkfab has completed more than 500 of these models, and are generally engaged early on in the process to provide a quote, prior to the design being finalised. We assist our clients throughout the entire process, right up to the projeccts completion and the subsequently required OC Model.
